IT Maintenance Downtime

In order to maintain strong availability (uptime) and minimize system downtime, the APS Information Technology team requires preventive maintenance windows to update hardware and software. These maintenance windows require APS systems to be taken offline (aka “powered down”) to install or upgrade hardware and software. The following is the IT system downtime calendar to perform system maintenance for the 2016-2017 school year. This general communication includes key possible systems likely to be impacted; other applications / systems may be included and will be identified in a communication leading up to the date of the downtime window. Each downtime may not impact all the systems listed or require the entire duration window: Network/Wireless access, Telephone Services, Access to district drives – v: w: u: t: , etc., E-mail – Outlook, Outlook Web and Smartphones, APS website and APSNet Staff Intranet, Infinite Campus, Adobe Connect, Enrich, Online employment application system, Nutrition Services MCS and PCS, Transportation fuel database, Transfinder bus routing software, KeyTrail, Internet, Oracle, Tableau This calendar doesn’t include specific site downtime such as planned technology upgrades; those will be scheduled with principals and site managers. Should emergency downtimes be required, a communication will be sent out as soon as possible to affected personnel, whether it be site or district-wide.
